"Only by eliminating the stigma of mental illness will we end the hopelessness it creates and barriers it builds to services and treatment. Silence is the partner of stigma, which makes the work of consumer lectures from the Consumer Continuing Education Network so vital to the cause. When consumers share their poignant, personal journeys through stigma and recovery, it is a powerful message for any audience."
